Supercar Prices

ooh, nice! I've always liked the NSX, but before you dip your toes in, check the tyre prices, as I recall, each of the 4 tyres is different and only made by yokohama :)

still though, I'd be very tempted if I had that kinda disposable cash lieing around :)

Lovely lovely lovely cars the NSX, however its easy to forget how much these were new.

There is someone on Pistonheads who need a full set of new suspension bushes, at an eyewatering £10k:eek:

Used to be. Now £75 a shot, might even last as much as 8k miles...

really? that's depressing.. I just paid double that per tyre to reshoe my 3 series! and it needed all 4 :(

Do you recall the Top Gear "Italian Supercar for under £10k" challenge?

The payoff was "Yes, you can buy an Italian supercar for under ten thousand, but for God's sake don't!"

Agreed, the Honda will have far superior reliability, but the £10k suspension bushes, presumably made from unobtainium, should give you an idea of the true cost of ownership.

Some of those modifications the seller lists give me cause for concern. The NSX boys are very much ones for "doing jobs properly"; I wouldn't expect to see them fitting cone filters and cheapy alloy wheels, even if the originals are included.

The fact that it's running on Nankangs would set very large alarm bells ringing. If they've been fitting budget tyres, what else have they been skimping on? Perhaps the first part of the number plate should be telling us something.
