Supercharger price for CLK 230k

Does anyone know what the cost if of a replacement supercharger for a 2000 (X regd) CLK 230k.

Hi, what makes you think you need a new Kompressor? What Engine number is it to fit if you do? Have you got a part number off of the existing one? Cheers

It makes a horrible and very loud rumbling noise. My local garage had a look and had a listen and said it is the charger. They used a long rod and placed on the charger they put that rod to thier ear. You can hear it very loudly.

They have changed a few of them before. it is then 230 engine. Is in c180 charger the same as the one for the 230k engine

So is it an M271 engine or a M111 engine. Your log book will say!

You sure it just not the bearing?

Hmm they do say that, but I think it can be done. Trouble is it might be quicker and cheaper to get a used replacement one. if you dont know the part number then someone will be along with the electronic parts catalogue shortly. There are two clk 230 being broken on ebay and Mercman Southamptons and Dronsfield would have one as well.

Are the chargers easy to take off? Can I see the part number without taking the whole unit off?

I had mine replaced. So not entirely true.

Mine is returned to the manufacturer every couple of years for a rebuild.

I think the one he's got is an M54 Eaton roots supercharger
