Do you remember Clarkson using it?
We'll get told off for going off topic, but if you remember Clarkson featured in two shows using the Mercedes Linguatronic. On one he was in an S-class and lambasted it, then on another program he was in his own SL55 and he really raved about it.Do you remember Clarkson using it?
On one he was in an S-class and lambasted it
Meanwhile......... I think we can all accept there has been an innocent mistake made regarding airmatic?
Do you remember Clarkson using it?
I have found in the past that sales staff at dealerships do not have the technical knowledge of cars that they like to think they have. So I'm not doubting your word that the sales person told you your car has Airmatic.
The front and the rear ride height (assuming its standard) will not be the same when at standstill.
The front springs may have been replaced with the incorrect type at some point (common problem of snapping)
How do you know it levels out?
There is no function of ride height control on your car so it can't level itself out as you say.
Hope this helps
Most people would actually check before they bought it - who knows what engine might be under the bonnet![]()
.
Its automatic air suspension i'm told i don't have a button i dont think but i havnt read the manual.
Doesn't make any sense, automatic does not mean there is no button (or does your automatic climate control also comes without buttons![]()
).
There should be a button to increase the ride height, for example when going over rough terrain.
Also, the manual should explain things like how the increased ride height is automatically cancelled at a certain speed and how at higher speeds the normal ride height is lowered automatically.
I'll have a look at the VIN, but if it does not show up, it won't be there (since it would be an option on the W203 if it would have existed).
Don't get too stressed by it, you still drive a very nice car.
Lol, no i'm not getting stressed mate
just trying to find out whats on it, just things that dealers always seem to lie about, it's not the 1st time that a mercedes dealer talks rubish so i'm not surprised if you guys are right!
