Looks like a magnet to me. Try tying a carrot to your fuel line first, you may get better mileagegriffin5 said:

I installed one on my cousins megane... They swear by it... They monitor their fuel usage, they say they used to get 310 miles to a tank, now they are getting 390...
I found it hard to believe as well, but they swear by it...
Their was also an article in mercedes enthusiast, a guy was using them on his 123-230E, he also worshipped the things...
