supposed to be one of the fastest cars around

The secret to this stunning performance is the car's feather-light weight of just 1,418kg, made possible by the use of carbon fibre and balsa wood in the construction.
Balsa wood ? If it rains, does the car warp ?

feather light? 1400 kgs? a 3.9 0-60???

try the atom..

Sunday Times (Atom 300 Supercharged)

'And then came the Atom. Watching it leave the line was like watching a controlled explosion. It had such an overwhelming surfeit of power its driver didn't even bother using first gear. He simply seleclected second, dropped the clutch and disappeared. On the surface we'd have been stunned if it had hit 60mph in 3.1 sec but, when all six runs were completed, these were the numbers we were faced with: the 'slow' run into the wind took 2.94 sec, the return just 2.88 sec, to give an average 0-60mph of 2.91 sec.'

and it weighs in at 500 Kgs

I have driven a C6 on the road, and yes, it was fast. But it was lardy for what it was supoposed to be. Then I scratched it going over a very slightly raised manhole cover...
