'And then came the Atom. Watching it leave the line was like watching a controlled explosion. It had such an overwhelming surfeit of power its driver didn't even bother using first gear. He simply seleclected second, dropped the clutch and disappeared. I have driven a C6 on the road, and yes, it was fast. But it was lardy for what it was supoposed to be. Then I scratched it going over a very slightly raised manhole cover...
