the suspension creaks slightly when getting in and out of my car (and yes I'm a fat git before anyone says it! )

when that happens is it the spring or the dampers that are making the noise?

Lol, you're not the only one, mine does it too!

I'm currently pointing the finger at the suspension bushes squeaking, but I will be interested to see what other possibilities (and cures) arise.

Mine too, from the drivers side rear...doesn't sounds serious (yet) but will monitor..

ditto.

It's been like that for ages, and my previous w202 did it as well.

Get underneath the car and aquirt a bit of WD40 on the bushes one pair at a time (and drive the car) until you narrow wdown which bush(es) it is.

On mine it turned out to be the front Antiroll bar bushes. Cost me less than £20 to replace them IIRC.

Will probably do that while it's up on the stands for me to replace the steering damper...not something I'm sure that should be needed at 27k, but never mind.
