Hi,

Since I got my c207 e250cdi with dynamic suspension it's been stuck in sports mode. Recently got icarsoft and ran some live data... All level sensors change except for the left rear which in guessing is the faulty one. As there is no dtc code in guessing the arm may have snapped.

Can anyone point me in teh direction of the sensor?

Mine did this last week. I just pulled over and restarted the engine which sorted it. Was crap timing as we were driving down the beach road in Southport and it’s rough as a badger ass. Will look out for it again, interesting you’re pointing to the sensor. Makes good sense.

I know which road your on about.... Bumpy. I had the tyres done the other week and located the snapped arm. Gave it a quick wiggle when it was on the ramps and seems to come in and out of sports mode now.... Going to glue the arm

Just out of interest, what temperature does your e250 run at? 90-95 ish on the gauge?
And have you had any start stop issues? Mine just doesn’t work at all

Start/Stop not working is almost certainly down to a suboptimal battery (either the main battery or the auxiliary battery).

Try taking the car for a long motorway journey, or trickle charge it overnight.

But if the above doesn't help, change the batteries one at a time - auxiliary first, then main.

You can also try and have the battery load-tested at an auto electrician.

There are other things that can go wrong and cause the Stop/Start not to work, but they are relatively rare.

The car spins over nice and easy on the starter, much better than I would expect, and fires up easy every time. I'm assuming the auxiliary battery is the one in the boot. What does that run?

The auxiliary battery runs all of the electric consumers while the engine is switched-off under Stop/Start (conserving the main battery for the starter).

It could be either battetu.

The Stop/Start ECU gets battety info from the battery management module.

The ECU then decides if the battery is in good enough condition for Stop/Start.

You might not feel anything wrong with the battery though - the voltage will be fine and it will be good for starting the car - just not good enough for Stop/Start.
