Hi all

So, the next phase of making my E220 coupe perfect - suspension.

I've read endless threads, theories and advice, and still don't have a complete solution, however, I just wanted to see if anyone has fitted a set of these H&R MB E-Klasse W124 Lim. + Coupe Cup-Kit Komfortfahrwerk 30mm Audi Tuning, BMW Tuning, VW Tuning, Opel Tuning, Mercedes Tuning, Mini Tuning

Rightly or wrongly, one of the only cosmetic fixes I wanted was set of original AMG 17" monoblock alloys, a now have these fitted (although offset is slightly incorrect as they can from a W202 AMG, but I can get around this), but the suspension needs overhauling, and I don't just want to stick a set of lowered springs on - they drop it too much, and I want new shocks too.

Does / has anyone put a set of these H&R Comfort springs / shocks on an W124 coupe, if so, is the drop ok at around 30mm, I don't want it to look too low, does anyone have any pictures or advice about doing this.

Any help would be great, ps I'll be selling a gorgeous set of refurbished 8 hole 15" allys with good P6000's soon if anyone is interested, but i'll post in sale section.

Thanks all

Thanks dw124, nice to see pictures, will be good to know how hard they actually are, loads of speedbumps near us too, and have 4 in the car regularally, so think the 30mm drop all round sounds perfect.

Final closing post on this one - I've found a stunning local mechanic who loves old Mercedes, and have had him working on the car for a while, the following work has just been done:

Full set of H&R comfort springs and shocks (lowered by around 25mm, just right, and look great)

Engine and gearbox oils and filters changed

New pads all round

New discs to front (someone had kindly fitted ones off a C class previously)

Full laser alignment (steering wheel now perfectly level)

Nice to know its going to be looked after by a mechanic who cares too.

Pictures please mate

W124 Lowered pictures

Hi d w124

Got some pics, really happy with the hight now, doesn't look too far from standard, but makes a world of difference. Just had a handmade stainless steel exhaust put on too - cat back.

The car looks very nice,as for the exhaust, you should have bought my Sebring

Haha, didn't have too much of a choice, needed one sooner than I thought, before I bought the car it had not really been driven, and condensation had sat in the exhaust and now it is being driven, rusted through.

Drove it 60 miles on the M6, one hell of a noise, 3 hours later, great drive back, love it.

Eleven car looks very smart :thumb:

Its going into body shop in November hopefully wont be there too long I cant wait until the kit and the wheels are on, also looking forward to see what calcite white will look like on a old car :)

The w124 ones he has are 160mph so would be no good to you
