Suzzie, the CLK 500 so this happened

I saw that when it came upon AT, it did seem a decent buy. Well done that man.

You know it is one of life's mysteries as to why the values of these cars are so low! It is one of only a few cars I have ever owned where I look back at it and think "that is a cracking looking car" Mine is 17 years old and still looks as good (if not better) than current Mercs let alone from other manufacturers.

Classy and Classic
I think they are overshadowed by the E46 and just a bit forgotten.

You can have the same drivetrains and 90% of the R230/C215 appeal without potential ££££ woes with things like ABC or metal folding roof. I haven’t found my coupe to be any more expensive to run than a Golf. They are a steal.

Another clk fan here. Love the Jasper blue. I’ve had my clk for 7 years now. It’s a 2008 350 Sport. Lovely car and such good value.

Ok a little update, I’ve treated her to some new wheels, the original bolts are slightly too long so replacements needed , once I’ve worked out which ones they are I will get those sorted.

Genuine Brabus monoblocks, new Continentals tobe ordered 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 going on soon.

I’m going to stick my neck out here and say I’d have preferred oem AMG 18” rims. But that’s just me and the car does look great 😊. I’d also consider lowering it to match the ride height of the Sport models as I always think the non sport versions are too jacked up at the rear.

Now in the mean time if I get chance over the weekend ,,, and that a BIG IF! I’m going to tackle this lol

What a mess lol,

Oem AMG, yes but I do like tobe a little different, Re ride height agreed although I’m concerned at how much this will compromise the ride quality.

That’s a valid concern. Much as I love the sport version, it does crash over the bumps. There’s a part of me that would prefer an elegance for ride comfort but given mine does 1,000 miles a year it doesn’t really matter. As a daily driver it might do though. I have back issues so maybe I’m more sensitive!

Is it just the angle, (or me) or do the rears need spacers....?

I doubt it buddy et35 8.5j , those tyres are 245:40/18 all round which we know is incorrect. 255 35 18, and 225 40 18 is what will be going on.

Bootiful 😎 Love the colour.

And so it begins , I’m just going to drive this one Fcknpmsl....

Cleaned up the rear os arch, like I have done to my passed cars , All the Merc’s seem to harbour rust around the spot welds only noticeable wen you rub them back. Still all rubbed down and treated looking great :)

Been a busy morning, started last night and was pleased with the drivers seat...

But... lol ended up doing the rest of the faded cracked interior and tbh it looks like new!!! Alpaca dye Applied via a sponge in stages saw this..

Only seat left todo is the base of the Nsf as it’s really not that bad, honestly never thought it woulda turned out this good in a million years, especially as I’ve never done anything like this before.
