...is it possible to swap the trim around the main switchpack (ESP, Door locks, heated seats etc section)?

I can get hold of a new switchpack but the trim is silver alu, my car has the darker metal with horizontal groves and was wondering if I could just swap the trim pieces over?

Yes - the trim is seperate from the switch module, it just attaches from the rear.

I changed mine from Alu-Linear to BEM

Ah that's good news.

I'm seriously considering installing heated seats and I can get hold of a switchpack that has the right buttons, just not the right trim.

By the looks of things this mod will cost me £150 in parts (heater elements, switchpack and loom) and a few hours of hard labour.

i think there is also a control unit per seat... i could be wrong!

Having read old threads on here, it seems the control modules are contained within the switchpack so its a fairly straight forward mod on a W203 :thumb:

You shouldnt need any control packs/modules etc but the heated seat elements will cost you a lot more than £150 for all four if you are going for genuine MB parts.

Make sure you get the correct loom for this as the heaters draw significant current.
