Just brought the car for a wash. One of those ones that sprays water and wax and a huge hair-dryer when it's all done.

Anyway, sparkly car at the end of it but there must have been a few litres of water in the footwell on the passenger side when it was done. I could see it dripping down from the under the glove box.

Pulled out all the carpet (soaked completely) and reckoned the source of the water was through the heater fan motor box (not sure what the unit is called). I could remove a lid and see the motor and the water seemed to come from there.

So. How did get in from the exterior of the car to there?

I want to make sure there isn't a pipe open letting rain etc in.

The drain hole under the scuttle cover is blocked its very common, leaves get stuck in there over time, all you need to do is get the top cover off on the passenger side just clips out and clean it up with a long object

Nice one guys. Cleaned a TON of leaves out of there and all seems well now.

Did you clear the one under the wiper mech too?

No how do I get to that?

Do not put the bung back in. Bin it.
