Hello guys! I have an auto C200K Sportcoupe 2001. When i Switch from neutral to auto, it firstly engages sequential gearbox, then i have to move the lever to the left one more time to be in auto mode. Any ideas on how to engage Auto directly from neutral in one move? Thanks in advance!

I am assuming you mean shift from N to D?

Does your car have the flappy pedals gearshift option?

In essence, you should shift from P to D (going through R and N), then drive off. The display on the dash should show that you are in D. You should not need to use the + and - (right/left).

Also - does you car have a 3-way gearshift program selector S/C/M? If so then ensure that M is not selected.

Leave it in D, let the box do the gear changing that's what it was designed to do.

Leave it mostly in D ; there are occasions when manually selecting a lower gear - such as descending a steep hill , wishing to overtake more smoothly , or make swift prigress through bends without an auto downshift upsetting the car - can be advantageous.

We are talking to ourselves... I guess the OP has finally read the manual and no longer needs assistance.

Looks like this is what the OP has:

And when i stick it from N in A, it is sequential, then if i move the lever to the left one more time it sticks into A. It doesn t bother me too much, but im driving it a lot in A.

Thats a semi auto transmission , I owned a few W203s and never seen one semi auto.

Basically yours is an ordinary manual transmission with an electro mechanical selector that changes gear for you . Pretty much like DSG gearbox on VW

Looks like it is setup to be a "manual" first and then a regular auto second.

I would think you are stuck with that "have to move it twice" behaviour given the style of transmission.

See if you can find the car's owners manual online in PDF format....

That's right.
