Switching W202 head unit and Climate Pannel

Is it possible to swap the positions of the head unit and the Climate pannel in a C43?

I know how to pull out the climate, just not sure if the swap is feasible


Want to do it so head unit is higher up

Some of the guys move the climate on the W210 so they can fit a double din, so sure it is possible, you may need to lengthen the cable though??

Just try it, they just slide out with the merc/becker keys.

Though you can fit a double din in a 202 using the climate control aperture as the top edge of the double din but to actually use the complete climate control aperture for a single din I,m sure I have read somewhere that it cant be done because of the lack of space for the cabling out the back of the stereo. Worth a try though.

Try it mate, but i think as the sterio is longer than the climate control unit the sterio might foul the heaterbox

^ if you get a single din 'digital media' head unit ( no CD/tape mechanism ), these tend to be shallow.
