Number 1 son has bought tickets for T in the Park for himself & a mate.
Mate now can't afford to pay his way, so son is stuck with 2 tickets.
He could go on his own - but not what he had planned:mad:

Advert in classifieds if anyone interested.

The same thing happened to my daughter a couple of years ago, I think it was the V festival in Leeds?

Anyway, I put tickets on E-Bay and got well over the cost price for them. You should be able to turn this into a profit rather than sustaining a loss.

    Just been looking on e-bay
One auction just ended where seller was inviting bids just over face value - auction ended with no bids.
Another seller - has more than 10 tickets available at "buy it now price" of £5 over face value.
Don't think there is a profit to be had - would be pleased to break even!

The weather certainly won't help, it's been wet nearly every day since the beginning of May and feels more like winter up here. Not exactly festival weather!

Ended up selling the tickets on e-bay. I've only sold on e-bay once a few years ago and it was a £60/£70 item, so I didn't particularly remember the fees involved.

They were 2 tickets which cost £195 each = £390

    E-bay listing fees 2 x £6 = £12
    Sold for 2 x £150 = £300
    E-bay selling fee 10% = £30
    Paypal transaction fee £11

    The boy got back £247

An expensive lesson for a student!

Should help sharpen his commercial reality for future employers. ;)
