This retirement thing's a drag......:bannana::bannana:

Beautiful Derek.

I love the run up Glenshee and down to Braemar. The road from Blairgowrie has been slowly upgraded thru the ages but its good fun to see how fast you can go over the twisty stuff.

There are some 'interesting' sharp little rises and dips on that road south of Braemar. They are not always obvious until you're experiencing them.

Be careful.

Beautiful
Mrs Ted and I spent a wonderful week at Kildrummy castle hotel last year.- put on quite a few pounds.
Had a beautiful walk through the Braes o' Balquhidder.

Edit:Ooops that was two years ago. Last year was a log cabin on the shore of Loch Lubnaig.

Thanks, I do know the road quite well as its a tricky one

I recall last time several cars had to pull over to let me past-it was nice to see that people look in the mirror and have the courtesy to let someone wishing to travel faster than them through.

Thanks for the post, makes me more and more want to visit north of Watford! Seriously I do need to go across the border soon.

Take the whale with you and come up.

No. No. and no.

It's terrible up here. They don't want to come. They just wouldn't like it.

(Get with the programme ***. We like our empty roads. They're ours to enjoy but won't be if you enthusiastically extend these reckless invitations to the southern masses).

LOL - you guys are funny! Lets face it, you need the tourism, I will be up in the summer.

The Whale is not fast though so you have a good point about clogging up the roads..... Imagine if I joined up with BTB and AMG and we all came up in Caravans! hahahaha!

Bring it on...we'll have a convoy.:bannana::bannana: We're heading back up later this year to Braemar CC site (The Invercauld). Terrible road for towing, very rough surface and undulating.

To echo a few of the former posts.... Great Post!

Thats it, I am off to the peaks fo a run out.

Sublime and dare I say a little inspirational to the "20 miles" is a run out crowd (me)

Beautiful place! Years ago I had a holiday cottage in Kingussie, near Aviemore. Really loved it! The Highlands is a glorious place indeed!
By the way Druk, are those 17" Ruchas on your E320?

No snow left Jay. Too much sunshine, 12c yesterday. I know which I'd rather have. :bannana::bannana:

Echo the rest - excellent post!
