Ooooops,,,, I have a tiny ding in my rear bumper . Looks like someone got a bit too close when parking,,,, although it looks a sharper than just another bumper nudge.

I’m hoping to be able to push the ding out,,,, but have no idea how these new fangled bumper/skirts are fixed.

The strip I’m talking about is just below the boot lip, is about 3” wide and wraps around the wings.

Is it easy to get off (& put back on again !) ? It looks like it might just be clipped in place, but I don’t want to start tugging at it until I get some expert advice – where you guys come in.

Is there a Haynes manual from previous models that I ought to get whilst waiting for a 211 one ? Or, like my previous models had to get TWO manuals,,, one for bodywork etc and one for mechanic work.

This moulding will unclip from a pre-face lift car , your 07 car is a face lift and the moulning is part of the rear bumper . The whole bumper will have to come off .

Thanks Shorty,

I've just had a proper look, and you are right, in that the strips don't come off, as it is a one-piece mould.

This leads me to adapt my O.P:

How easy is it to take off the rear bumper on this vehicle ?
