Sad, but true.

But poor service isn't just the preserve of (some but not all) MB dealers. I've been waiting since Feb for a new remote locking plipper for an Astra at work, and whenever I chased the dealer, they just smiled at me and said 'still on back order'. Finding this tiresome in the least, I tried the dealer in the next town. Response: 'we've got them in stock'.

On the other hand, and without in any way wishing to excuse poor service, I think dealing with the public all day long (as service departments have to) would test the patience of a saint. Just overhearing some of the dummies they have to deal with would drive me round the bend.
