Temperature problems.

Hi all,
Having a few (more) probs with the car. When i'm running normally the temperature gauge is running lower than 80 degrees, i know it;s cold out here, but i'm sure it should be running hotter.

Also i have now noticed that when i am stationary the car is getting hot, but the fan is not coming on to cool it down so i have to turn it off to give it a cool down.

I'm thinking thermostat, but could there be any other isuues? I want to avoid the dealers if i can as Christmas was quite expensive.

Change the thermostat first and maybe drain, flush and refill your coolant too.

Reasonably inexpensive DIY job and might sort out the problem
