My mobile is up for upgrade and looking around Tesco mobile have some cracking deals at the moment. As they use the O2 network it looks a good choice. Anybody had any dealing with them

I found it depended upon the area of the country you live in, I used to use them but they were hopeless on the EAST coast with no 3G coverage at all

As above - check the coverage.
I switched from vodafone to O2 and regret it.

i never really had any issues with Tesco for many years

i'm now on giffgaff

both use 02 network coverage

As above Tesco uses the O2 network. We switched both our phones from O2 to Tesco last year and I would heartily recommend them, provided O2 reception is OK where you are (I've never had any problems).

We pay £7.50 per month for 250 mins / 5000 texts / 750 Mb, with a free smartphone - I don't think you can get that even as a SIM-only deal elsewhere. Plus you get Clubcard points.

They also do 'capped' contracts which are fantastic for kids. You get your free allocation of mins/texts/data as normal each month, but if you need more you have to top-up like a pre-pay phone.

I am on tesco and its pretty good, i have also had giffgaff who are also good, both on o2 network

Only gripe was the number porting took about 48 hours.

Coverage is O2.

As for people who claim XXXX has better coverage than YYYY - there is no definitive answer. The places I travel I find sometimes Three are better than Voda or O2 - other times it's Orange that's best - other times it's O2 or Voda. Sometimes these variations are very localised with specific shadow zones where coverage for one or other network are bad.

Unless you know for sure that coverage is good or bad for a specific network provider in specific areas that you frequent then make no assumptions.

That's good. Nearest is probably GG.

For £7.50 GiffGaff give 200 mins, Ultd texts, 250MB data and free GG to GG

For £10.00 they give 500 mins, Ultd texts 1GB data and free GG to GG which is my preference, no need to use the landline.

been with tesco quite a while and they are good.

however if u have virgin media in your property they do a nifty sim only deam working at £5 pm 1100 + 1gig data and u are allowed 4 lines per house hold.

and virgin to virgin is free and unlimited

which pretty much unbeatable

I've got 2 capped deals for the kids and when I left my previous employer I moved onto Tesco too. With three accounts I got free top-ups so we doubled the amount of mobile data as we use way under everything else. Coverage here in Sussex is on a par with Mrs E's Vodafone contract.

Virgin now do unlimited calls text data £15 month sim only - flyer in post this morning.

Need to see the T&Cs, im almost certain it will not be unlimited to mobiles.
