Tesco's 99 Ron fuel...............

Is anyone else using Tescos limited availability Superunleaded fuel?

My first are impressions are that it is as good as Shell Optimax but much cheaper. In my 4 pot it has the effect of making the car run for smoothly (although my car was tuned to run on Optimax when I had it Superchipped)

Any other feedback?

Tesco near me in Beckton East London sells it, IIRC it was around 80p/litre. Not sure where in Manchester sells it, how far are you from Stockport, theres a huge new Tesco there I am sure they'll sell it there......

Normal unleaded at local shell garage last week was 80.9p, up to 82.9p now. Optimax usually carries a 5p price premium.

Mambo, drive past the large Tescos (next to M60) on my way home from work every night. Will check, especially if its gonna be 80p/litre!!

there seems to be a couple pence price difference between north and south manchester. Supermarket unleaded is about 82.9-83.9p in the south and 80.9-81.9p in the north.

Tesco RON 99

I think this is the same RON as optimax and its a lot cheaper so if you need it tesco is the place to go , you get clubcard points as well. This is tescos version of superunleaded (LRP).

Having read this thread last week, I too filled up at Tesco's for RON 99. So far so good. I have noticed that it is alot more responsive than normal. Just hope its not doing my engine any harm, as I always in the past stayed away from supermarket fuel.
