I actually thought similar prior to test driving. However, whilst it’s a reasonable size it contains everything you need to look at or alter whilst driving in that one space, compared to a more normal car like my CLS which has a dashboard, steering wheel controls and a massive centre console containing a screen and multiple switches. In that respect it works for me and compared to my AMG it’s actually a much smaller space to look at to use switches / view info.That massive etch-a-sketch screen is a horrendous distraction for me.
It was even more of a distraction for a colleague who was showing off his Tesla....let’s say his passenger seat had rouched leather..
It is taking some getting use to but suppose it’s a marmite feature.
