no, when cracking there is no move at all? sorry I did remember not posted yet... also, BLACKC55 said ecu under headlight, I cant see anything

Sounds to me like a faulty crank sensor then.

What about the "no signal from lead"? Should i have any values from the lead on its own ? Thxs in advance

Please don't confuse crank sensor with cam sensor your original post states cam sensor fault code not crank sensor .

Hi

Does anyone know how to test these? its coming up on the diagnostic but would like to test before I fork out for something I may not need

Camshaft position sensor (CPS)

Thanks in advance

yes I did say camshaft sensor but after changing to new one it still said camshaft sensor, I have had this with the fical diagnostics saying one sensor is down when it was another sensor, the Camshaft sensor is new but I've also been told this would not stop van from starting, that's why I've moved to the crank sensor, the readings from the camshaft sensor seem correct off the cable, there are no signals coming off the crankshaft sensor cable... hope this don't sound too confusioning... please advise

Ive poked the chain and it seems really tight, not suspiciously slack or with any chance of slipping but it seems its the next job, would a compression test check this and if so, what figures am I looking for?

Another question, whats turning the pump off? ignition signal but if the chain has jumped should I still have fuel?

As far as I know the fuel will build pressure and then wont keep pumping until engine fires... thats how it is on most modern Petrol.

Fires as in starts? I have spark on all four cylinders with new plugs, I think chain could of slipped, I'm waiting for pressure guidance I should be looking for on each piston

Crankshaft sensor tested nothing wrong with it, what next folks? Compression test?

With diag equipment plugged in are you getting a RPM signal?

Its not a clever diag, no movement on the rpm in the van

I suggest you get it on a MB Star with a competent operator to test the car.

Its all gone quite, I've heard a new sound trying to pump this car, I don't know what it is, this vito is petrol/lpg properly fitted 4 point injection system this part below was making a whizzing sound when trying to bump the car, anyone know what it is?

Ok, I've done a compression test which doesn't sound good, bare inmind this van not ran for 12 months could it be stuck rings? will I need take head off?
psi test
cylinder 1 = 170
cylinder 2 = 50
cylinder 3 = 0
cylinder 4 = 150
