Thank You Eurocharge

Eurocharged

Do you find that you get better low down torque without the gearbox changing down all the time? Planning on getting my E63 6.2 done but already have 525 bhp as standard so unsure if the gains in the remap warrant the cost

Paul did my SL63 6.2L at the end of last year, and it made a noticeable difference despite the fact that the gains were modest.

I specifically asked Paul to concentrate on mid-range torque, rather than extract the usual top end gains, and this has made the car more 'driveable', and IMO, more practical on a daily basis.

So a big "Thank you" to Paul for both the engine and gearbox remaps.

EuroCharged are one of only a handful of firms around that actually know what they are doing!

Definitely recommended :thumb:

Cheers,
Robert

Robert did you ever get those plastic front side silver 6.3 painted black ?

I hummed and I harred, and thought long and hard (seriously), and decided not to paint them after all.

I have been getting a fair few admiring looks from passers by, and the occasional "nice car mate" comments from people since I upgraded from an SL350 to my SL63.

I've always wondered how people can spot the difference (other than the badge). Is it the 'give-away' silver panels that are an instant difference and mark the car out as a SL63? I don't know.

I assume you are still in favour of painting them? Got any photos for a comparison?

Say I de-badged the car, with black panels how would folk know. Or is THAT the idea?

Cheers,
Robert :)

I paid £1200 all in for the primary decat and centre box delete, ramap and Sc Pulley.
There was a deal on so i just took advantage of it. Price may be different to somebody else depending on car or if a deal is on.

Is that for IC pump too?

No, that was a separate cost. I paid £278 extra for a the Bosch 010 IC pump.
Basically £1500 all in with pump bought and fitted and everything else mentioned.

Very good...specially for the power output you received..Is the upgraded pump enough for cooling or you looking to do any further mods. I have same car as you (silver 55 amg in 55 plate). Have had secondary cats removed and x pipe fitted so sound isnt as deep as yours but now looking to up the power a tad by doing pulley and remap upgrade!

The pump is a direct replacement for the one that died, unless im wrong there... So standard pump is good enough to handle the cooling etc.
As for further mods I'm very happy with how it is now. I won't be doing anything else as i like the car being reliable. Some say when u make it above 600bhp things can let u down more and the car tends to get more niggles. I could be wrong.
The car right now is frightening quick and i wouldnt want any more lol

I would definitely consider doing what ive done. It so simple and not much involved and it would put such a smile on your face.

I did just consider just an xpipe and secondary decat but so many people did that on here so i just wanted to be different. I also wasnt happy hearing that the xpipe didnt give alot more sound than standard so removal of primary cats and centre box made more sense to me.
Go for it mate, you will love how this car beomes a beast.:D

where you based?

I've just put one on my 55 , £119 fitted by me !!

One of the best mods I have had is the Quaife LSD which goes very well with the Eurocharged Map + S/C Pulley, very hard to bring up that yellow triangle :ban:

I bought the Bosch IC Pump from the States for just over £100.00 which is what I think Andrew was referring to.

Is this the upgraded pump? If so, do you have a link please?

Also is there any way of checking if PUMP is working to its full capacity or not?

That pump is Bosch's replacement for the original and if you went into your MB dealer today to buy the pump that is what you'd get but, yes, it is better than the old version.

From my understanding, do a few full throttle runs and if the pump is on the way out you'll get a huge drop in power because system will stop the supercharger kicking in because it's getting too hot.

Yes it is the upgraded Bosch Pump.

If you Google Parts4export go to there Ebay shop and click on the there Mercedes section scroll down and the Pump will come up, They are quoting just over £105.00 which includes shipping and tax, takes ten days to arrive, you do save lots of money.

Or another Company EBay Item No: 360716317562
