I was just wondering. I'm sure many of you must have had improvements carried out by Brabus or AMG, (either as kits supplied by or by the companies themselves doing the installations), after the initial purchase of your Mercedes.

Have you had or are you having any warranty issues where Mercedes bounce you back to Brabus or AMG and vice versa? Also, I realise that certain changes have to be advised to your insurance companies, what were, if any, the consequencies of the changes to premiums/restrictions etc.

Many thanks.

Apologies for the dry tone to this, i'm in thoughful mode today.

I waited until my car was out of warranty before I had the Brabus treatment done. A lot of people have teflon shoulders thesedays and I did not want to be bounced around.

Brabus will take over the warranty for things that are related to the upgrades you have done so you do still have piece of mind.

Its just a bugger as in my case the rear diff decides to give up the ghost just months after the warranty expired.

Insurance wise, another £120 keeps them happy.
