So... update time!

24ish days left... and the car's radiator has been flushed (8 times... once with limescale remover, once with rust goopifier, and 6 other times with boiling water while running the engine for 15 mins each time to ensure that it cycled well). Unfortunately, this also meant finding out the thermostat is as dead as a doornail, so I'm ordering a new one...

From the non-technical side, 3 Spanish tourists/aid-workers were kidnapped on the road we are planning to take... which apparently was one of the safest roads in Mauritania... so we are truly scared now... oh well, the show must go on!

If you hear of a bunch of tourists being kidnapped in the desert in a few weeks, spare a thought for me!
