If you cannot regularly attain this

Your car clearly has MAF, EGR, other related issues and must go to a mechanic immediately. Its probably advisable you get the car low loadered to the dealer or specialist to risk further damage to the engine. ;)

Spot the guy who started his journey at the top of a very very big hill.......

6 miles at 21mph - did you have a blonde leaning over next to you, half cocked?

You mean yours doesn't do this MPG? I got this going to work lol

Get it on STAR ASAP. It may be serious;)

John, I havent had a blonde leaning over in that car for a year plus now. Does wonders for my observation and anticipation however, meaning its efficient but dull.

Amazing what an in-journey reset will give! ;)

<Makes note to reset trip meter at the top of the Shap on my next journey South>

;)

If that is genuinely a true reflection of what a V6-Cdi can achieve you are restoring my faith in a W212 350 Cdi.

I wouldn't get too excited.
More like 30-40 with those damed DPF's on the 212's!!

Given the picture is a 211.. am unsure of the value of your faith. :)

Considering you married a brunette 2 years ago that is probably not the best thing to post on a forum!!! :D

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that mileage looks like it starts with a 5, I thought you had done 80 odd Steve?

2 years ago. Nah, that was a facebook wind up the married thing. She (the GF) left me for the plummer

Maybe he plumbed her depths a bit deeper...

Because it's a V6 Cdi.

I am aware of the DPF, but that can always be ripped off and I thought they don't all have one anyway now.

Gizze; How's yours going on fuel?

On a 320cdi it was a rare option. On a 350cdi 231bhp and 265bhp standard fitment. As you say you can remap them and remove the thing. I'd not lose sleep if it did under 55mpg, the fact it will hit the 155mph limiter that bit faster is far more important, particularly as you live not that far from the M6 toll and the delightful long straights of the M1 where you need to do these speeds.

Nice figure Steve. I'd be lucky to see 25mpg in both cars.

155 is nice but it's not all about top speed, it's how fast it gets there. ;)

my c320 can hit 160 but it takes ages to get there..

Mine gets a bit limp past 145mph but chuck in a down hill and its gets there really fast :thumb::thumb:
