The E63 I now own.

How do these systems switch between COMAND and the Car Play unit? Is there a button that they stick somewhere or is it an on-screen option to toggle back and forth? If

If you have Apple it is a Bluetooth connection if it's Android t's a connection in the Glove box. It was in my CL. I have Apple. Contact Scott and he will advise you if ir can be done.

So you initiate the connection on your iPhone and the system switches between COMAND and Car Play? That sounds slick, what I didn't want was a stuck on switch somewhere! I'd not mind having to plug the iPhone in, either, as it will need to charge somehow anyway. I'd hope that there is a logical place in an E63 to stash your phone that has a charging point?

No plugging in, just pair it with Bluetooth. Never got to use it very much as the CL is now sold. The things i do for the potential buyer :wallbash:

Just spoke to the new buyer and he is very happy with the CarPlay and the CL of course :)

Double check why they did a plug change as I think I read it had one done on the last service? Might just be they are being kind, or maybe you requested it?

Saying goodbye to the C55 shortly- which I will say is somewhat sad as it’s an excellent car and I’ve enjoyed driving it very much. View attachment 105668
Be prepared to miss it a lot, I still miss my C32, and seeing those wheels doesn’t help 😀 but your fantatsic new car will take away the sting 👍🏻

@Dammit Remember and check those front pads & discs.

Advisory on previous MOT, 1500 miles or so since and no advisory so they "should" be brand new.

Regardless of the MoT test, MB will have measured the thickness of the brake pads on the service B, I can’t see them missing a chance like that either! ;)

Good luck with the collection, I’m sure you’ll have plenty of time to get familiar with your new wagon on the way home.

AMGs are great long journey mile munchers, have fun and drive safe

Depends what the "trade" customer asked and agreed with them perhaps. ;)
No idea if they could have specified a filter/service only and I've not seen the DSB updated yet.

Simple enough to check so thought I'd mention it.

Sure - but regardless MB are supposed to give the measurements. No harm is checking though, relatively easy to see how much meat is on the pads by looking anyway :)

Good luck with the handover and enjoy the drive home. I hope it is all it is supposed to be, but am sure you will let us all know.

have enjoyed following this thread and learned some useful info on the way.. am contemplating an E63, S212 myself.
