The fatal four!

I quite often see young-ish females (in particular) driving without a seatbelt. It does amaze me, but I would guess it's statistically less of a risk than smoking and loads of people choose to do that.

But they can multi-task. No belt, holding cigarette out of their window while attending to important stuff on facebook, checking hair in rear view and frequently checking make up in visor mirror. Indicators? What are they for?

This article in my local paper. The inference is people are still driving without a seat belt! In this day and age would’ve thought this was long gone!

Warning issued following serious Horsham crash
Not wearing a belt is NOT a CAUSE of a crash , although it may allow preventable injuries to occur .

I still , quite legally , drive without them in classic cars which are exempt, and manage to do so without causing any crashes .

Yes. Piss poor suggestion that not wearing seat belts can cause accidents.

Saw classic example of multi tasking during heat wave a couple of weeks ago. Female driver in brand new Bentley convertible. No seatbelt on, fag and phone in one hand (which she was talking on) and apple in the other, making a great show of it. Accident waiting to happen. No amount of education or threats of prosecution appear to work.

I recently heard that not wearing a seatbelt will not only end up in a fine but also points on the license.
