I caught this last week not realising it's a bit of a series - but it's on BBC1 now and is hilarious viewing. Epitomises all things British And is deadly serious for many of the competitors. Last week was the North of England. This week is Somerset - so should be fun.

Just watched it withthe GF.

Those marrows were huge. Made me laugh when all the men were lined up with their marrows infront of them. A bit falic.....

I love that typicaly english feel to it.

This week's wasn't as entertaining as last week's I didn't think, but it is funny.

I must admit to being quite pleased that this type of activity is getting some publicity. It celebrates old traditions and skills that are becoming increasingly rare. Good on 'em
