The last W124 estate in UK?

Looks a lot of money for a 124 - but to be fair it's a very clean one-owner example, last of the run and appears to be in pretty much immaculate condition.

Hasn't got the full spec but has the important bits - six cylinder, leather, air-con, 7-seats etc.

Granted, they've maxed the potential of this one and are asking for near top money - you could obviously find a similar car cheaper and put in the prep work yourself, but some of the buyers want it on a plate :)

If it was a E320 or E36 estate with half the mileage and better specced, what would that be worth ;)

Its a lovely colour though, and the light leather looks great. Seems to have been well looked after with a full MB history too.

I think you'd want to be certain the loom and the head gasket were sorted for that, if the service history checked out it might be worth the money. Any idea on 1st registration date? It is a merc red colour that work for me.....

noticed on the website they have a 94/95 E320 estate in green with leather and electric seats for £7995 mileage is £101k, does seem a tad on the high side when compared to a 2 year younger one that less the headlamp washers, electric seats and 25k mileage is the same spec for £3k less.

as mentioned above -- if it has not had loom and head gasket done, then it is seriously overpriced, I don't care how shiny the paint is and how glossy the leather looks. If it has had the loom and gasket done, then the seller would be wise to advertise that, because if someone who knows these W124s is going to buy it, then that ought to be the first question they ask....

I didn't and paid the price!

Slightly off topic but what causes the top of the engine to discolour like that like? (the rocker cover etc.)

That is engine lacquer (sp?)... It is there to protect the engine, since new.

It will eventually come out with all the engine washes.

Looks to be a fairly average car, why is it £5k??

Because its being sold by a used Mercedes specialist. Only they can achieve such high prices (and some might consider often ridiculous prices).

Try selling that from your doorstep at that price and you'll have the car on your hands for years to come.

website has a 1995 model listed and shots of the interior vary showing dials with a/c and without. There could be 2 cars or just mixed up images.
