Well then - not sure on the car yet, so hopefully these ramblings will clarify it for me too! (obviously i'll do pics soon)

Exterior. I like the clk shape (though maybe not as much as the w208, but its certainly fresh and has a sense of occasion. I reckon this shape will become a classic in years to come? The car is unpainted (silver...) with really crap little 16" wheels on - this will be the first change. They make the car look too 'cuddly'!!!

Interior - beautiful. Its facelifted so reminds me of the cls, with all the same instruments etc. The new comand is miles better.... Really impressed with the interior.

Ride - soft and comfy, not sure i will feel the same with large wheels on but the little ones are seriously poor!

engine - we like the 320. nice noise. needs a brabus exhaust.

overall - it will do for a while!! really need to change the wheels though!

your existing 18" AMG wheels will fit fine. Just swap the wheels from the SC to the CLK!

the 209 is pillarless and the rear windows go down -- the 208 rear windows are fixed and not pillarless

Its is nice - its sitting at home right now!

Fancy a change from the last set of rims - maybe brabus ones!

Why not put your e55 wheels onto it? or has the C200 gone now?

Rich - sounds lovely - but are you sure about the wheels - I sense some doubt:D :D :D

BTW - quick query. I have the nokia 8800 Sirocco. Is there a handsfree cradle available for this phone?

Yes, 8800 is listed.

When it comes to wheels I put a set of CLK500 wheels on our 240 Elegance. They are the same pattern (can't remember the name - it began with an A) but 17" instead of the 16". Looks nice but not OTT IMHO. ;)

Do you know where it is listed? i cant find it anywhere!

I think the car looks nice when subtle...agreed.

Look forward to seeing it Rich!

I've got a set of CLK500 wheels on mine; the same or were they Adharaz?

Hi Rich

Congrats on the new car, will have to keep a look out for it as I work in the London Bridge area now.

BTW: What is the nokia 8800 Sirocco? Is this the updated 8800, if so is it better than the original one?

Tan

Yup, you definitely want 17" or 18" on a C209. Mine had the 17"s:

16"s are waaaay to small for the car.

Look forward to seeing yours :cool:

Cheers,

Steve

I have a Sirocco dark - I think the key differences over the regular 8800 are pretty much:

Option of usual silver (light) or dark finish;
128mb rather than 64mb internal memory;
2mp camera (not sure what original was, but certainly lower res).

Sure the Nokia website will ellaborate further.

Hope this helps.

Having had both at one time or another (and i'll be keeping the sirocco black) the battery life is hugely improved, the buttons made easier to use and the menu system a touch more intuitive - like old nokias!

Tan - where are you working in LB? I live there now so will keep an eye out!

I've heard several people say the battery life is rubbish, but it works fine for me. I'm not a heavy user by any means as I have a separate phone for work, but it's lasting me about 4 days between charges - not bad IMHO. I made sure the power management settings were sensible, and turn bluetooth off when I'm not using it, and it's been fine.

One thing though when texting, do you notice a light shake in the chassis - I'm wondering whether my slider is very slightly loose?
