JR gets a nice holiday over the Christmas Period then.....

Talk about a storm in a tea cup, this entire thing is absurd.....

It's a British disease - the taking apart and destroying who and what are seen as successfull.

As for the Daily Mail... that doctored photograph above is disgusting.

I am 99.9% sure that photo has nothing to do with the Daily Mail.

I am also pretty sure its just a wind-up.;)

Excellent news - Ross has just withdrawn from presenting an ITV show. Although I don't think my TV is pikey enough to get ITV...

;)

Jonathan Ross ! suicide or public execution- thats the answer

Apologies for restarting an old thread.

I hear that Jeremy Clarkson may be in a spot of bother after referring to lorry drivers as rapists. This made me rething the way that things are going at the BBC and their knee-jerk decisions.

If you can put aside the distasteful remarks that TV presenters have made for a moment you could wonder what would it be like had no one taken any risks? What if Bob Dylan had never plugged his guitar into an amplifier? Or The Beatled had thought that Sgt Pepper would be a little too advanced for their teeny audience?

I'm not a fan of The Beatles or Russell Brand (I admit to enjoying Ross on his Friday night show, particularly post-pub with a curry on my lap, over my shirt, on the settee) but can see that there is a need to push the envelope. If comedy, music or anything else for that matter is to evolve then mistakes will be made along the way. To stick with The Beatles analogy, remember the furore when they announced that they were bigger than Jesus? They managed to live that one down as will the current lot in time.

Just think of the alternative to TV evolving. Bernard Manning? Crossroads?

Russell Brand or Jonathan Woss " pushing the envelope" you're havn' a laugh right?
