As you all may know I bought Peter's C43 from him. The roof lining was damaged in the hands of MB Brenford while they were doing a rust repair to the sunfoof when Peter owned it. They re-covered it with alancantara poorly.

The roof lining was sagging badly as were the pillar trims etc. Peter organised the car to go back to them on the 21st of August to be repaired again.

The car is still there.....

They have had two trimmers try and re-do it and have been unsucessful.

The roof lining is now so badly damaged that it needs to be replaced as it can't be re-covered. The 202 roof lining is NLA from MB....

MB Brenford have to find a second hand roof lining now.

The good news is that it is in that hands of D-Class who are number 1 in re-trims of MB's.

Brenford MB have been terrible. They just don't seem bothered at all. I just want my car back in the condition it should be.

They have given me a 204 to use. Nice car....But. The rear tyres are very low, the service is 4200miles overdue, the suspension is knocking and the high level brake light does not work.

I now know why you all get frustrated with dealers.

Angry Olly.

So will you service it for them to show them how its done?!

Is that a courtesy car? Even if it's a pool or staff owned car, it should be bang on.

Fell sorry for them. It will be VERRRRRRY "GOOD" advert for them.

High level stop lamp not working?? Careful you don't get pulled for that!

Which they manifestly haven't. I thought the slogan encompassed the entirety of the ownership experience.

Brentford are worse than useless .... i had a big falling out with them over my old w124 .

Never been back and never will.

The car was filthy too. I am very tempted to service it and to get it valeted before I take it back and give them the bill.

Used cars that are for lending out are normaly checked over by a technician befoer they are lent out. There is paperwork from auction in the boot.

I want to check the oil too but why should I? The engine is tappy too.

The manager won't talk to me either.

Ther service when I dropped the car off was also below par. MB is a premium brand and the dealers are failing.

I also HATE my car being somewhere other than my driveway or workshop for so long.

Totally share yur experience of these people. They are absolutely horrendous! I have posted about this before so I'm not going to go on about it again but even their sales staff and finance manager were incomprehensibly awful! they were rude, insulted me (without any reason to do so!), inefficient and didn't give two stuffs about the customers but were more bothered about chinwagging with each other and deciding which car they were going to take home themselves that night. Absolutely horrendous - they are my 'local'd ealers but I would never use them. If that was their attitude to someone who was trying to buy a new car and hand them around £30k then I shudder to think how atrocious their after-care would be. I took my business elsewhere. It almost put me off MBs for good but fortunately I gave it one last shot with another dealer. I feel your pain and wish you all the best with it! BTW - my high-level stop lamp isn't working either and that's a new W204!

I'd service it, reset the indicator & do the online service book if it has one ;) MB warranty won't cover a car that far overdue a service anyway I'm sure so no harm can be done by doing so, only preventing further damage and therefore you are mitigating their losses and doing a good thing :p

Just don't set the cat among the pigeons until you have your car back 100%!

Good Idea. I just may do that. I can hand them the bill from me at the handover:p

Can you set up CCTV so we can all watch their faces, bet the service manager will talk to you then too :)

OT but have you got star software for smarts there? I have some customers close to you and it's always good to have a 'network' of support :)

Kate

Yes I do and I can do key coding (TAN's) too for the SAM units.

I'm surprised they agreed to assist at all once their original customer disposed of the car.

Handing them the bill is one thing, getting paid is another. I'd leave it well alone and just give them a written report on it and your disatisfaction.

Why? It's the work that is guaranteed, not the owner.
