Lately we have been used to seeing him as a sort of Blues Patriach at prestigeous benefit concerts - but here's a little footage of him playing at Sing Sing prison and you get a little more feel for why he is forever part of the black man's struggle in America.

Many of the greats freely acknowledge the inspiration they got from Riley B. King.

There's an awful lot of that intro in 'Red House' for instance ;)

RIP, we'll never see your like again.

Feel genuinely lucky to have seen him live more than once. RIP BB.

Fantastic musician, I was lucky enough to see him once, very modest for someone so gifted. RIP

Just love this.Play the guitar BB !-oh the riffs!!!:rock::rock:
"Caught in quicksand and I'm startin' to sink
So tired of strugglin' that my mind can barely think
I dont know where Im goin'
Lord, I dont know what Im gonna do
My fuel supply is finished, there aint nothing left to burn
I need someone to help me but I dont know which way to turn
I know I dont have much of a choice
Ill go out of my mind or into the night"

If he is still in the can then I should think he is in more ways than one!

Saw BB in Manchester a few years ago with John Mayall as support, fabulous evening.

Truly the end of an era :(
