To offset all the recent expense it was great to get the RFL reminder today. £20. That's more like it. Helps me fund my V8 Merc habit

My wife had what could have been a serious issue in hers yesterday. One of the front flexi brake hoses failed! Luckily she was parking but quickly lost all braking. Theres a bit of a design fault that’s worth checking. The top of the flexi hose has a rubber sleeve. This traps water round the nut/Union where it joins the rigid pipe. The nut basically rusted away and the rubber hose just popped off the joining piece! Really worth checking and maybe add some grease round that join to protect it, assuming it’s sound.
