Why would someone think these things when they see a CDi badge? I think you may be thinking to deeply. Other people see a car, not a CDi, and they almost certainly don’t expect 715Nm just as they don’t expect 100Nm or 1000Nm. To everyone other than you they see a car.

I may be wrong but I sense you are concerned that people may look down on you for driving a CDi, as if it is a case of oneupmanship. However there’s an irony in your posts as you then appear to look down on those around you by calling them dense, saying others “won’t be doing it again”, and staying and restating the power and torque of your car.

I drive a normally aspirated 1.0 petrol Smart ForFour with skinny eco tyres. so I can only dream of your mammoth torque and sticky tyres. It sounds like you have a very nice and very fast car. Focus upon enjoying it rather than worry about what you think other people think about the badge on the back.
Whatever as long as your happy so am I, frankly am too old and ugly to give a rats ass what folks think, but I hate bad manners and disrespect and those with a sense of self entitlement.
Perhaps in your younger Days you never enjoyed the traffic light GP, it was a way of life in my neck of the woods and still is to many, perhaps you have forgotten your actually alive? who knows, who cares, either way it makes no odds to me.

I think most people will agree with you in their dislike or these qualities.

perhaps you have forgotten your actually alive?
Not sure what prompted that question, especially in connection with your comment with the traffic light Grand Prix. It couldn’t possibly be seeing my Smart badge could it? 😬

I didn’t interpret it that way but could have done if I was of the belief that people were judging me for my choice of car. 👀

Those fools who do will think again, as I have the fire breathing 71 PS version and a 600 PSI punch.

I feel left out now 😪 I haven't got any traffic lights here to do a TLGP

The French seem to regard traffic lights as merely advisory, as with other road rules. I just let them get on with it.

(Although I have read in the handbook that toddling along at low speeds at all times is not good for the V12 and ... like a FAP diesel .... I need to burn off the ... well .... things which may otherwise cause an obstruction.) 😊

I found it amazing! 😉👍

Plus, why do you think "he won't be doing it again"?

Do the letters CDi instill fear and terror into BMW drivers? 😂😂😂
BMWs quake in fear when they see the C250d on the tailgate of my AMG line! They know that they are toast when I switch to Sport+
Eat my dust!

Was pootling about yesterday in the c250 and noticed the car behind me racing right up my **** then slowing right down leaving a good 150/200 feet gap then doing it again and again. This must have gone on for well over a mile when we get to the traffic lights near Tesco. Wife had clocked him doing it too so I bunged it into sport and floored it off the lights. All went well for about 10 seconds and we heard the roar as he came past us……..e63 🤦🏻‍♂️

When i were a yoof we didn't really indulge in the traffic light grand prix - for some reason we were more into burnouts! Or specifically the "Roll back burn out". We'd find a suitable hill and let the car roll back before unleashing whatever you had in first, then second! Given we were in things like Golf GTi's, Escort MKII's, Alfa Suds and Sprints we did fairly well getting some good smoke going. A friend who had the "best" car ironically was the worst at burnouts - he had an Audi Coupe Quattro. He eventually came to his senses and bought a Fiat 131 TC.

Look like Vitaloni California wing mirrors? I bought some to go on my Sprint but couldn't fit them so gave them to a friend for his Sud. He wrote it off 2 days later and never did pay me for them!

my Dad had the super mirafiori 2.0TC and then swapped it for the volumetrico abarth (special order via Cape Town) as he needed 4 doors, he was a frustrated rally driver at heart his fav car of all time was hist Datsun 1600 sss, as we lived in Tanzania at the time the East African Safari was always on the spectating agenda, the 131 was eventually replaced with a Cortina XR6 (look it up )

Should have used Sport + !! e63 is just an e number.🤣

Ahh for the 2 numpties DRF and DSM further up who I ignore normally, perhaps others see a CDI badge as an old mans slow diesel car and dont expect 715nm of torque and 325 bhp from a Mercedes estate, like you he may have been too dense to appreciate the irony until he was totally shown up, normally I dont bother but bad manners and folks assuming or expecting me to get out of the way because they are too impatient or consider themselves too special to que like the rest of us get treated with the same contempt you do
CDI…..🤣🤣🤣 I wouldn’t waste my electric on you at the Traffic Light GP

That my wrinkly old friend is verbal assault, you cannot use that word nowadays… I’m offended… why so Angry?
Have a Horlicks and chill out
They are no more a typical keyboard warrior who is so so brave when there is no-one in front of them to respond directly.
.
We have to pity them really. Inadequate sums up their type 👍
