Thinking of a CLS....info please

I have had the CDI 350 CDI since December 2010. 9 Months old 22k after trade in. Drives a dream. Eats the miles and goes like a mad thing. Fuel consumption 38mpg average 70mph. Makes me smile every day I drive it.

Can I ask, how much was the car in pound notes, purchased from a MB dealer ??? Did you get much/any discount of the sticker price ???

I see a nice Facelift at Cargiant.co.uk. today, 19k looks like a lot of car for that.

I love my E320 CDI but after 3 years I am fancying a change and may put it up for sale.

I was thinking of replacing it with a CLS. Must be Obsidian Black, and probably a 320CDI again. As I only do about 5k per year maybe a petrol would be better, not sure yet.

I would prefer a light (cream/pebble) interior with black wood.

Probably a 2005 or 2006 model. Budget under 20k

What do you think? Do you like the CLS?

What comes as standard?

What toys should it have, command, telephone etc.

I do not think that I have seen one with a glass roof? Do they come with these?

Hi i've owned my cls 500 for 6 months now & am more than pleased with it,like you i do relatively low annual miles in it(about 6k)which is why i chose the v8 petrol over a diesel.Over a tank the 500 will return about 22mpg & the road tax/insurance will be higher than the diesel but other running costs(servicing/tyres etc should be about the same).I've got 19"staggered amg's on mine & the ride is fantastic due to the 3 settings on airmatic which comes as standard as does parktronic front & rear.I have seen cls's with glass sunroofs but they are relatively rare & are a factory optional extra, whichever engine you choose try to get as higher specced car with full service history as it will be easier to shift when the time comes, good luck:thumb:
