No

They've said they've undertaken work on your car, and although you havent been billed lexus UK have.

I'd raise it with Lexus UK and they should deal with the franchise dealer.

Another reason to buy a Mercedes. Looks like other stealers arent much better.

I don't know - what's the world coming to when you you can't even rely on Lexus!

You are just going to end up with a large solicitor's bill.
Lets face it trading stds deal with people who have a non functioning car not one with a rattle. It kind of sums up the Lexus ownership experience - the most disgruntled owner is the one with.......a rattle.
take a look on here and be thankful you do not have a merc.

I'd suspect that given the dealership that Lexus try to run, having HO on their back for this sort of thing may well be an experience that the dealer would not wish in any case.

I have to admit I would go with it and see what develops.

Do as Lexus HO have requested. The dealer is just a franchise so he can, if on the fiddle, expect a rocket. I would also, when sending the photos, send a detailed list of your experiences. I would then expect Lexus to take your car back for an engineer to examine and for them to fix.

I am sure that as you have HO now involved this may be addressed to your satisfaction. If not then see if they will swap the car for a new one (less a mileage charge). Must have quite some stock as large engined petrol cars aren't flying out the showrooms.

Good luck. I'm sure you will be behind the gun sights before too long. :D

If you paid £32k for a car and there is a loud rattle that you couldn't locate for 18 months and an annoying sound around the door frame that makes the car feel loose when it goes over bumps I think anyone would be pretty miffed off. If you read the post it's more than just a rattle. Even more annoying when you missus buys a Vauxhall Corsa for £7995 and it has no rattles or creaks.

The thing that gets to me is them taking £80 off me for an air con service and they probably did nothing more than do a cursory check. I'm not a skin-flint but I'm not being taken for a mug.

I think that the moral of this tale is "Never assume - Check" or maybe "Fools rush in"

Now you have retracted your original post and admitted to being a complete idiot and wrong in the first place, the moral is very apt :thumb:

Glad that you are at last pacified.
