Thinking of selling my C63

C63 Coupe
So after only a few months of ownership I am considering selling my C63 Coupe on a 14 plate.

It's an amazing car and the way it drives and sounds is just sublime, however it was a risk when I bought it as I have 2 small kids and I didn't quite know how I'd get on always putting them in and out. Well now I know it's just not the car for me, I need 4 doors and something bigger, kind of wish I'd gone for the E63 now.

If anybody is on the lookout for a C63 let me know, like I said:-

C63 coupe in white
14 plate, first registered June 2014
6k miles
19" wheels
Reverse cam
Illuminated door sills
Black leather interior
All the usual stuff, 7 speed MCT, panoramic roof.

The only changes I have made are the calipers are red and I have fitted the Rebellion carbon fibre spoiler, I still have the original white one so that will either come with it or I can have it swapped.

Not quite sure how much of a private sales market there is for cars in the region of £40k!

Thanks

Daz

And just to add I have just fitted brand new tyres to the front and had a 4 wheel alignment done, the car showed as perfect, in fact the guy who checked said it's "not even within tolerance of 0.4mm, it's absolutely spot on".

You say you wished you had gone for an E63. What about a C63 saloon. Surely that was the logical step.

Good luck with the sale but a private sale at 40k won't be easy. Beware of chancers and scammers if you are advertising on Autotrader / Piston Heads.

Your market is slim to say the least. Best trade it in.

The estate is what the man needs!

I have one of them and it's wheels also point in the same direction - sorry to take the piss, but accurate wheel alignment as a selling point? - new one on me.

Not a selling point but anybody reading my post saying I am selling will do their home work and see that a few weeks ago I put some questions on here about the front tyres as mine have worn on their very inner edge after 5,000 miles. This statement is purely to show that there wasn't a problem and the car now has 2 brand new front tyres on.

Not a "selling point", merely showing that there isn't an issue with the car but thanks for pointing it out ;)

Quite surprised that WeBuyAnyCar offered me £37k, I have looked at another car and the garage there would have to beat that if they want the deal.

Cheers, I did consider the C63 saloon but they seem to have the same amount of leg room, I am looking for something bigger like an E class but I reckon it's going to have to be an estate and more like an RS6 !

If that is the case then i would accept that offer....

Do it, my RS6 is a perfect family and 'Dad' wagon.

I reckon I can squeeze a bit more out of a garage to trade it, nearest one the same on Autotrader is £40k.

Yep...£40k...and still on Autotrader. A bird in the hand...

If you want to stick with Merc then get the E class mine is perfect with plenty of room. Late V8 or bi turbo some come with the rear entertainments pack. Has to be worth considering?

It's something worth looking at but I really miss 4WD.

I'm considering keeping it until the C450 comes out next year, that would tick a lot of boxes depending on it's size.

P.S. Your sig is spelt wrong, it should be "you're"... ;)

Presumably that's retail price at a dealer though (with warranty etc.)? You're not going to receive that as a seller ... I also think that WBAC offer sounds pretty good. They quoted a higher price to me than any dealer was prepared to pay when I was selling a low mileage V6 4Motion VW.

You may nominally get a bit more if you trade it in but they'd probably have given you the extra as discount if you hadn't had a part-ex. Of course trading in is very convenient if you can't be without a car ... that can be worth more than squeezing the last £100 out of a deal :)
