Don't bother with the Aston. It's the opposite of the C63. All mouth and no trousers!
.
How exactly would you define the opposing nature of these two cars ?
Here's a few things to consider, some similarities and some differences about the cars and the ownership experience.
My C63 could make more than one passenger smile at once
My Aston can get round a track or up and down a mountain pass much quicker.
My C63 had approx 450 bhp and got to 60 in about 4 and a half seconds
My Aston has approx 450bho and gets to 60 in about four and half seconds
My Aston makes a lovely V8 noise and revs for fun
My C63 made a lovely noise and revved for fun
My C63 had average build quality and rattled a bit
My Aston had average build quality and rattled a bit
My Mercedes dealer never bothered to fix the problems
My Aston dealer sent a truck, took the car away and offered me a choice of loan cars
My Aston dealer regularly invites me to things and knows who I am.
My Mercedes dealer has changes sales people on a seemingly monthly basis and can't remember my name.
My Aston dealer offered me what I paid for the car after a year.
My Mercedes dealer told me the GTS I bought was worth £40k less than invoice after 6 months despite claiming "demand was huge and people will be paying a premium to get these cars".
My 63 could be mistaken for a run of the mill family wagon sometimes - occasionally I thought this was a good thing.
My Aston can't.
My C63 attracted a lot of interest from other motorists
My Aston attracts a lot of interest from other motorists
These are not always the same type of motorists
People who say "innit" and "bruv" seemed to prefer the C63.
Just a few thoughts, mostly trivial but as SPX says people do tend to say daft things on the inter web often without any frame of reference. Still if we all liked the same things the world would be very dull
