Worth a watch
Does looks sharp, it raised a few eye brows over here. The engine intake and piping setup looks very niceLooks sharp with all the black fittings/finishes and de-chrome
Yes the engine aesthetics are particularly attractiveDoes looks sharp, it raised a few eye brows over here. The engine intake and piping setup looks very nice
Interesting comments too about the degradation of the standard air intake pipes over time.
It sounds great, i watched that video. Would have liked the guy to get his hands on mine before i sold it. This one sounds a bit different to mine which is very turbo whistly . Gutted I never got proper videos of the sound, I finally got round to uploading the only footage I got which is a proper dogs dinner unfortunately and every time I was putting my foot down I was getting wheel spin as all the roads around me are 40 mph
It does sound great, sounds very different to mine which was very prominent with the turbo whistle . Pity I only managed to get one very shit gopro video driving it but with a good exhaust mod, it sounds beastly. Definitely sounded better than my stock w212 6.2 though the front engine sound of the 6.2 is well ahead
Here's a demo of mine, just uploaded
Sorry but nothing beats the sound of the m156 when it gets angry like this one. It gets better every time I listen to the video

It's definitely more than a rasp in my opinion. It sounds like no other V8 I've ever heard. It's like an over run of explosive sounds but in a nice way. The downshifts are just insane. What an exhaust note. The rasp is sensational
I like the mechanical engine sound of the M156, it's untouchable and the exhaust when revved for sure but the stock exhaust can use a boostIt's definitely more than a rasp in my opinion. I'm not super impressed with how the downshifts sound in the cabin of my e63 at least (212 6.2 and 211 6.2) too much sound deadening..the best downshifts were my gla 45 , i I think the 212 can hold its own vs the v8 m3 dct downshifts though .
This is what a GLA sounds like in the cabin, it's insane and by far the most fun AMG exhaust outlet there , it's off the charts
It sounds very different to a focus or golf , the pops and bangs dont feel forced at all and its bags of fun and over 18 months i never once got sick of it, rather got sick of boy racers always trying to race me though. The exhaust set up is so good that in comfort mode there's no pops and bangs but you get a rs type whump instead. I much preferred the exhaust on my c63s vs the E classes I've owned for the very reason that it popped and banged like there's no tomorrow in sport plus. While the 211 and 212s burble a bit but good luck hearing that. Definitely a better sound experience in the C class 204.To be honest I think that modded car sounding crackle and pop on the shifts would get tiresome after about two minutes. Like a modded boy racer Focus!..... but as long as you like it... and can turn it off!.... that's all that matters.
Haven't a clue what he's saying but anyway. I imagine that to be a stock exhaust as it's very nice and sounds different to mine I've had mods and had it out today and when in sport+ or manual mode the gear box changes the car and vocally it is loud the shifts are more pronounced especially when modded. It even caught me out today it mad me jump out the seat and laugh at the same time. The w212 cabin Is so well insulated. Try putting the rear seats down if you have through load system that also makes it more vocal. But I wouldn't want mine any louder. It's perfect for my liking.
The pops bangs are crap in my opinion but each to there own sounds to false. Which it does. Not sure i want to be taking the child seats out and folding them just to hear the exhaust and the iPE exhaust sound on the 5.5 beats the stock 6.2 on the 212 except at the red line where the 6.2 is nice. so unless I'm taking out sound deadening, I'm waking up that exhaust so it lives up to its potential
