Soooo....
Today my car (s320 CDI 2003)randomly conked out and wouldn't start. It came up with an EPC error when it happened. I managed to pull over and called the AA out.
So the AA man came and scanned it, it said low fuel pressure in the fuel rail, we assumed the high pressure pump was dead.
Got a new pump on it tonight and it still wouldn't start, whacked one of the fuel lines to an injector off, cranked it and fuel came whooshing out so fuel is definately getting to injectors. Smelt the fuel and oh no, it smells like petrol ...
The thing is, we filled the car up on Friday at tescos with diesel and I have the receipt, I believe the tank is 80L and we put in just under 70litres, the receipt says diesel too, we triple checked it!
There is around 5/8 of a tank left and we have driven around 200 miles on it, surely it wouldn't have done so many miles on such a mix of hardly and diesel to a lot of petrol?!
