When people advertise a big V8/12 or likewise, why do they refer to the mpg?

Who would honestly give a Tom tit what you get on a 'good run'? It's an SL60! Nobody cares!

Last time is was up for sale it had the proper AMG split rims on it, that looks awful with those black wheels, really spoils the look....

It's been floating around for a while with those Turbines too - I believe both sets come with the car. First time I've seen them with black centres though.
