Last night this was a nice clean car, now coveres with leaf debris and just about every orofice clogged.

Every time (bar about 5) I've wanted to put the roof down I'ts rained.

Yup. Our last nice day was at the end of May. Since then dull, wet and and windy without let up. One doesn't expect glorious summers up here, but this is the second really bad'un in a row. Last one like this was 1998.

I used to live there

The upside of Cumbria is no traffic, you can park almost anywhere without a)tickets or b) a keying, beautiful scenery and peace and quiet. And the food is better!

The downside is the weather.

On balance, I prefer it to Upper Norwood /Crystal Palace. Just
