This years "to drive" list.............

Every year I try to make sure that I drive some interesting cars. Last year I drove the entire Maserati range (including the Quartroporte!), a Porsche Cayman and the Alfa Brera (looks nice but a horrible drive!). In previous years I have driven Ferraris, a Lotus, loads of Brabus cars and various MBs and BMs.

Thinking back down the years though, I have never driven any Aston Martin and never even sat in a Lamborghini.....So in 2007 thats my target to drive at least one Aston or one Lambo!!

An old Escort or the like on one of those skid-plane courses.

I still have no bottle when it comes to a corner (even when dry!) after my crash.

After that any AMG merc :)

Ideally:

CL63 & CL65 would make me happy :)

I try to avoid driving anything I can't afford. I get very attached.

no you just go and buy them! (Well you did with the Audi anyway!)

Actually that is a really good idea to get your confidence back a bit. Goodwood have a skid course with garages to slide into - the hardest thing they have though is a car where the controls are all back to front. ie steer left you turn right!

Thinking about favourite cars... I've actually driven. The Cayman is nice if a bit slow (it wasnt an S), but Maffs CL before last was a lovely car and Grav's modified E55AMG sounds fantastic and is why the Cayman seems slow!!

An AMG driving dynamics course might be ideal then. Check out the MB World website for details, but I think it's around £400.

Not cheap but you get to do it all in a brand new AMG rather than an old Escort!! And that includes the 63-engined cars ;)

I have finally found a sales person that's keen to sell me a car (rather than shoo me away!!), so it looks like I'll be getting a 24 hour test drive in a Porsche 997. Always wanted a go in a 911 but never have.

Drive it straight to a Lamborghini dealer and tell him you're thinking of PX-ing for a Murcielago. Arrange a test drive and take the Lambo round to R2D2. :D

The best car I drove n 2006 was a Bentley Conti GT with a 0-60MPH time of 4.7 seconds and had top speed of 198MPH and could very comfortably seat four adults (including driver with all the options/extras...)

This year I will aim to take some Ferrais out for a spin.

Great idea!!

R2D2 could ride shotgun!! Although I fear that would make me C3PO??!!

If we get a move on, I might be able to fit a go in a Ferrari 456 in too??!! ;)

Thats excatly what I was planing on doing with my uncle's Bentley Conti GT witht the Ferrari Stealer and will ask for a extended 24HR test drive...

I sense a competition developing here!

Lets get the cars and organise mini GTGs...;)

Person with the car with the highest list price wins a pint of Diet Coke??

Now, where's the Yellow Pages?

Car Alarms, Car Breaker, Car Dealers - got it.

B, B, B, B, Bu, Bug, - found it.

Oh hello, it's the Dazzlster here. Me, the R2D2ster, and the Flashster fancy a Veyron each - only the forthcoming upgrade model though. Any chance we can have a go Mister. Aw thanks, I'll be round this afternoon.

Im thinking this year is the one to be taking the plunge for a flying spur :)

Last year I drove ....

A Bentley Conti GT

A C55

A CL65 (for a couple of miles ;) )

A CLK 430

Dunno what this year will bring ...... probably the same ( minus the CL ) ....

Although the CL owner now has a Gallardo so I might have to tap him up ....

PS. It also helps if we take a lady with us to get the cars as demos...;)
