Has anyone has experience with Tidworth Mercedes Specialist Rainham Essex RM15.? Ive had a few people recommend them.. interested to hear if anyone has used them or heard anything about them...

Just a quick update i spoke to them yesterday and was quoted £150.00 +vat for the A service on my motor, Mercedes at lakeside want 129.00 inc !!! Hmm

thats a difference there... I'm not a fan of lakeside MB tho..
Just the B service is £370 inc vat @ Tidworths

Plus I've got to have the 16 spark plugs changed and
Gearbox oil replaced :S

A main Dealer would cost me a bomb!!

Ive not had any services or jobs done on the car.. I've bought parts from them before and experienced their not so happy attitude.

Plus many years back now when i was trying to get a gtg setup, i asked MB Lakeside to host it, they initially was interested, then when i turn up to the appointment, they denied that i had spoke to anyone there.. and since then i wouldn't use them.

Ive used GemTech (Richard/John) for many years now also, but was also recommended to to Tidworth got a quote in from them which came to almost £200 cheaper then GemTech -

Ouch. Big difference. I guess GemTech trade on their name sometimes. I haven't used them myself but have friends who, like you, have been using them for years and remain happy with them……….they always seem to be rammed with work.

Indeed, yes they do aways seem very very busy... I've the B service on the AMG to be done but need the plugs done also..

GemTech B Service £367 + £93 to fit plugs (Plugs supplied by me)
Tidworth B Service £370 including fitting the plugs (Plugs supplied by me)

Might they be amenable to being supervised whilst the work is being done? Some places don't mind but others become all affronted as though it is a slur on their work.

mmm maybe, i like to have a look and chat to the guys doing the work just to get a feel for the company and feel for the extra mile they would go -
Plus I'm fussy when it comes to people working on the car i have to feel comfortable - I've had a couple of things that have swayed me to look at other indy also -

Well, I've had my first and last experience with this Indy... cost me more to fix the damage that was done... Avoid at all costs!!!!
