That's shocking.

How do you mean 'both lights indicated right of way'? Where both lights green? Or flashing yellow?
Both where green, apparently a lot of accidents happen on this crossroad, the police contacted Transport Malta about the incident but they denied any fault with the lights they might have addressed the issue by now but they would never admit blame.

Oh well, at least most of the spares are there!! And the box that I gave him by mistake which is part of a set from my shed! Lol. There was definitely a grille I gave him, but the nicer one was on the car anyway so it is no great loss!

Would say car is loaded.

xenons with wipers
Bose + navi CD player + CD changer
park sensors
fire extinguisher
power folding mirrors
auto dim mirror with garage door opener
power rear blind + side blinds
tow alarm
rain sensor

stock factory options:
power seats - black leather
cruise control
sunroof

tuned exhaust for more growl!
color coded door handles
genuine MB (2000) Avantgarde grille
MB sport pedals
Wow thats loaded, do you have any pictures?
How do you recognise a navi cd player? Because I still have the original stereo from the other car.

You think thats all apart from the grill?
Sorry about the box lol If you want I ship it back and split the bill.
Well Luckily I have a spare original grill aswell I am still unsure which one I like best so probably I will keep them both.

Nope it's not like that one guess it's the standard one.

Haha, no thanks dude. Just treat it right!

Yeah, that seems to be all, loads of switches and parking sensors.

The first C43 I owned had a Becker head unit (single DIN) with navigation. Now that was a fully loaded car - apart from fire extinguisher - that I wish I kept instead of selling for £1400... Would have been a perfect parts car, but I didnt think I would ever own another at the time! Ah well, you live and learn!

I guess the lesson is that when driving in Malta, do not trust green traffic light.... and cross every junction as if you were jumping a red light.

I have driven in places where I had to do just that, e.g. the South of Italy, West Africa, etc, nothing wrong with the lights there, it's just that the locals tend to generally ignore red lights.

In fact this form of highly-defensive driving is not a bad strategy to adopt in general, even in the UK, as I am sure any biker can tell you.....

At least it's only the grill then no big deal.
Yeah that would have been nice to keep especialy with all those options and would have made retro fitting much easier. I wish I could have kept mine but needed money to buy another one.
Tomorrow is the big day I will upload photos of it when I pick it up. 🙂

Yes it is a good strategy indeed, I have become much more defensive now after this bad incident.
And when you drive in Malta don't trust anything espescially buses lol

Sorry for the delay the car arrived yesterday, I really like the condition of the body but unfortunately I think some idiot messed with the car. The engine runs fine but the car dosen't engage any gears so it arrived on a tow truck. I have proof the car drove well and for 80 miles prior to their collection as I paid a company to inspect it and collect it. Next week a local benz specialist is coming to inspect it.
I hope it's nothing serious and I'm probably going to need a lawyer. One word of advice avoid using Fahrenheit Freight Forwarders apart from being carless they are also very rude.

That's not good ! Hope it's nothing big , assume you have checked that there is still a gearbox

Well that's' a relief, hopefully nothing too serious or expensive , am sure you will enjoy it once you can get it moving . Not an expert so no idea what might be causing the problem, maybe some other members will have some suggestions. I await the next instalment, good luck with whatever it is

 sorry to hear that mate! Cant think of what might be the problem, the gearbox never gave me any cause for concern!

Sorry to hear about your misfortune.
Did you check if driveshaft still connected between trans and rear diff?
Maybe somebody stole it?

I believe you mate it drove 80 miles no problem prior to loading it on their lorry. I feel somone messed something up, I hope it's nothing serious.
Tommorow I'm having it checked.

I'm not sure to tell the truth, I can't really see well underneath now as the only jack I have is the one In the trunk and it's a bit slippery on the tiles so I'll wait till my mechanic shows up tomorrow, thanks for the advice though.

Don't go under the car with only a jack.
Car might fall on you and you know what could happen!

Anything missing in the engine compartment?

When you turn the key you still have power?
Only bad thing with these cars they didn't have check engine light CEL in the cluster, then you'd know something is broken.
Don't touch anything until your mechanic shows up.

Your car did you insure it for transport to Malta and possible damage or theft when you had the car shipped off?
Can you make a police report and file a claim to insurance company?
