Hi Folks.

Some of you may remember my thread in summer 2013 when my Volve was written off (Someone drove into it whilst parked):

http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/classifieds-wanted/156561-mines-write-off-wanted-e-class-diesel-estate-look.html

So I ended up with a beautiful S210 E220 CDI which was perfect - until it got written off last week (Again - not my fault!)

So to join the fleet of my wifes C220 CDI S203:
http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/general-discussion/182597-new-us-c-class-joins-family.html

I need a new car.

1st choice - Another tip top condition S210
Must be:
  • Diesel
  • 7 Seater
  • Virtually Rust Free
  • Good Spec - Avantgarde / Elegance preferred

Would be nice to have:
  • Heated Seats
  • Towbar

The search starts tonight.
I may well buy back my now written off one and use it for spares so another 220 CDI would be ideal, but I wouldn't complain with a 320!

Cars I would also consider:
  • ML Diesel
  • S211 diesel (Would be concerned re SBC though)
  • R Class - out of budget I think
  • Anything else interesting as long as it has a bonnet star!

If you've got anything / know of anything / or want to try flogging me something do let me know.

I'm sure I'll be posting my options here as time goes on.

I'm in no rush - have a (horrid!) '64 Plate Nissan Qasqai as a courtesy car for 3 weeks, then will use my wifes old focus until I find something so will be holding out for just the right car.

Location no bother - flew from orkney to London for my last one.

Preferably in Scotland - the nearer to the borders the better but will travel for the right car.

Any help / advice appreciated.

Surely this time it won't be written off - this is getting silly now!

Cheers!

Tim.

Sorry to hear, I think the thread about Charles Ironside listed on their website that they have a 99t plate 300dt with 61k miles for £4495 or so, if they are selling it rust will be nil or v minimal.

Just test driven An S210 E320cdi locally to me.

Garage forecourt.
Had a flat battery - they put it on charge and it started fine but gearbox sticking in 2nd gear. Tip tropic not working and cruise control saying visit workshop.

The garage assure me this is because it is not yet reset after the flat battery. I feel there are underlying problems so won't be buying it whatever but I was wondering is this a normal outcome of a flat battery?

Thanks.
