E AMG NIGHT ADDITION
My E AMG NIGHT ADDITION... has the big Star in the grill and the Badge on the bonnet.

This is the first time I have not had the Star and I am thinking of puting one on.

Anyone done this and how does it look?

eg.....Out of place, silly, bad angle on the sporty bonnet , anything?

All opinions welcome.

It may not fit? Depends on the under-bonnet clearance.

I missed the bonnet star when I got the CLS but now I wouldn't want one. I also think grill star and bonnet star is one too many.

Thanks for that . I would get my Dealer to do the work, but I think you are correct. A bit of overkill.

BTW.. Mr Clark talks nonsence and knows nothing. Of course we are not alone, or more specifically at some time other planets have had life or it is still to happen. On the scale of time however, the odds on our being in existence at the same time as another intelegent life form are enormous. Always assuming you consider Mercedes owners as an intelligent life form!

Someone in my village has a W212 pre facelift 350 with an aftermarket grill with badge and the gun site bonnet emblem and I personally think it looks out of place. Seen some pics on here of the same model with a flat bonnet badge and I think it looks much better.

My car and my mates car together: -

As you can see, one has a bonnet star, one a grill star. I'm pretty indifferent as to which looks better, though certainly wouldn't like to have both fitted. In fact, I may be tempted to go with none at all, certainly would look better than two. :)

I think the bonnet star looks better on the bigger cars, but the grill is a more "sporty" look. - So it depends; do you want the car to look aggressive, or do you want it to look like it should have a chauffeur?

Star is retro nowadays on the bonnet!

looks fab on some older cars

W113 pagoda Was fab no star !

Star

Thanks everyone. Confirmed what I new in my heart. Both looks are good but each to its body style..I traded in my Avant-garde for the sportier Night Edition, and while it pleases me in many ways. I preferred and miss my Saloon.. Might have to get the cheque book out. Problem is, while the new car has a very nice cockpit the exterior doesn't quite stir my heart.
CLS maybe?
