I know that some of you don't like my car cleaning threads, but some others are interested. Today it isn't supposed to rain and so I'm intending to do my spring detail. Cotton buds at the ready. It's 7.45am and time to start!

I don't like your car cleaning threads.... as they make me realise how dirty my car is :-(

Would have followed your lead, but my pads for the DA haven't arrived yet! :( looking forward to your pics though! :)

tis a perfect day for car cleaning, however i'm going to be getting a 4x4 rather muddy instead

Tan, my car really needs it's TLC!

Since Rash told me not you my jet wash, I now prewash with a hose only.

Then I towel dried the car and came in for my hourly update! Now the hard work starts!

Then I'm hand washing with Zymol Autowash which get on with.

Then my winter wheels need some TLC as well so I start with AutoGlym Clean Wheels.

Don't forget to agitate!

Why not jet wash??

If your car is covered in mud then you may have to use a Jetwash but if you jetwash a normally dirty car then you see the water foaming as it washes off your waxes and polishes. Rash never uses a Jetwash!

Why not jet wash??

If you have any stone chips and the lacquer is damaged the high pressure will lift the lacquer.

Dried!

At a distance it looks great but hidden in the cracks...

Then time to deal with tar dots..

Off we go again!

I hope that you had another bucket out of shot, and they both had grit guards in them:thumb:

Winter wheels aren't getting the full treatment until they are off the car. So just AutoGlym Cleen Wheels, then rinse, then wash with Zymol auto wash, then dry then seal with AG Wheel seal, then AG Tyre dressing.

My summer wheels however are getting their 4 coat which is AG Wheel Seal today!

Getting tired now. Just to finish off. 6 1/4 hours so far.

Door shuts after waxing. Need to dust out residue.

Brushes for the interior dust I understand, but cleaning the exterior with cotton buds? Nah! :D

Mine will get the "Polish" (although I think our locals are now Serbian) treatment when spring gets here, until then the lights, windows and plates will be kept clean.

I admire your dedication.

Respect for your dedication mate
